My name is Kevin - I have been a PC enthusiast for 20 years, since the ancient times of the Pentium M, AMD's Athlon64 and DDR1 RAM. _Yikes

I operate Lucky PC out of my home in the Chicagoland area.  It is my intention to provide knowledgeable tech services to new and experienced users alike, whether that involves building a new system, upgrading your existing hardware to meet changing needs, or troubleshooting issues to get you back in the game.

Video games became a billion dollar industry in 1982. (Shout out Space Invaders!) - In 2024, it is estimated to be worth $282B!   Likewise, gaming computers have become increasingly more accessible and desirable for the mainstream consumer.  With the explosion of streaming and fresh content creation, there has never been a better time to get into the online gaming culture!

Your PC is not too far removed from it's ancestors, conceptually speaking;  A processor, motherboard, memory, storage, and a graphics card all work together so you can help Master Chief save the human race.  The technology behind all of these components (and more) is always improving, so it is crucial to know your performance goals with a PC.

Today anyone with a budget can go shopping at Best Buy, or flip through endless pages of prebuilt systems on Amazon and Newegg.  More often than not, this route will have you overpaying for subpar results.  "Prebuilt" systems will often boast a competitive processor paired with a severely underpowered GPU, for example.  A system like this will start up fast, and struggle as soon as you jump in to your favorite game.

My goal is to help you avoid this situation entirely.  I take great pride in producing clean, professional gaming PCs that are built to win.
